YOU MIGHT BE A REPUBLICAN IF........

   I found a post at www.americanthinker.com/blog recently by Ethel C. Fenig  that I thought it would be great to share. I admit that I tweeked it a little.  It occured to me that the Democrats are always labeling Republicans as the "party of no", but reading Ethel's post made me realize how controlling they are, how the Democrats are really the "party of no".   It is just that the Republicans have trouble articulating their position to the general public.  Here is my version of her post.  Feel free to share with your friends and to add your thoughts in the comments section:

YOU MIGHT BE A REPUBLICAN IF.......

You might be a Republican if you don't buy a gun because you don't like them;  You might be a Democrat if you don't allow anyone to buy a gun because you don't like them.

You might be a Republican if you don't eat meat because you are a vegetarian;  You might be a Democrat if you want all meat products banned or regulated for everyone because you are a vegetarian.

You might be a Republican homosexual if you live your life like anyone else;  You might be a Democrat homosexual if you demand respect for your choice through legislation.

You might be a Republican if you get a second job to help pay your bills that have gotten out of hand;  You might be a Democrat if you expect someone else to bail you out.

You might be a Republican if you switch channels when you don't like a talk show;   You might be a Democrat if you demand the talk show be taken off the air if you don't like it.

You might be a Republican if you don't go to church if you have no religious beliefs;  You might be a Democrat if you want any mention of God and religion silenced if you have no religious beliefs.

You might be a Republican if you shop for your health care needs or find a job that provides it;  You might be a Democrat if you demand that your neighbors pay for your health care needs.

You might be a Republican if you forward/share this post so your friends can reflect on it;  You might be a Democrat if you try to have this post removed because it "offended" you.

You might be a Republican if you accept responsibility and accountability for your leadership position;  You might be a Democrat if you don't understand "what difference, at this point, does it make?" when you don't accept responsibility and accountability for your leadership position.
