I found a post at recently by Ethel C. Fenig  that I thought it would be great to share. I admit that I tweeked it a little.  It occured to me that the Democrats are always labeling Republicans as the "party of no", but reading Ethel's post made me realize how controlling they are, how the Democrats are really the "party of no".   It is just that the Republicans have trouble articulating their position to the general public.  Here is my version of her post.  Feel free to share with your friends and to add your thoughts in the comments section:

You might be a Republican if you don't buy a gun because you don't like them;  You might be a Democrat if you don't allow anyone to buy a gun because you don't like them.

You might be a Republican if you don't eat meat because you are a vegetarian;  You might be a Democrat if you want all meat products banned or regulated for everyone because you are a vegetarian.

You might be a Republican homosexual if you live your life like anyone else;  You might be a Democrat homosexual if you demand respect for your choice through legislation.

You might be a Republican if you get a second job to help pay your bills that have gotten out of hand;  You might be a Democrat if you expect someone else to bail you out.

You might be a Republican if you switch channels when you don't like a talk show;   You might be a Democrat if you demand the talk show be taken off the air if you don't like it.

You might be a Republican if you don't go to church if you have no religious beliefs;  You might be a Democrat if you want any mention of God and religion silenced if you have no religious beliefs.

You might be a Republican if you shop for your health care needs or find a job that provides it;  You might be a Democrat if you demand that your neighbors pay for your health care needs.

You might be a Republican if you forward/share this post so your friends can reflect on it;  You might be a Democrat if you try to have this post removed because it "offended" you.

You might be a Republican if you accept responsibility and accountability for your leadership position;  You might be a Democrat if you don't understand "what difference, at this point, does it make?" when you don't accept responsibility and accountability for your leadership position.

Tomorrow, the President of the United States will announce his proposal to disarm the good LEGAL citizens of the United States.  He does not have the power to do that.
Let's go back in time, just for a moment, to April 12, 2009.  Do you remember the big stink over the Department of Homeland Security targeting our veterans as "potential terrorists"?  Here is a part of what was posted in The Liberty Papers, published 4/12/2009.  Obama has officially been in office for about four months:

“The man who asks of freedom anything other than itself is born to be a slave.”     Alexis de Tocqueville

April 12, 2009

Homeland Security document targets most conservatives and libertarians in the country

by Stephen Gordon
Thousands of racists and terrorists rally at Cincinatti Tea Party
Thousands of racists and terrorists rally at Cincinnati Tea Party
Remember that now-retracted Missouri Information Analysis Center report which stated that small-government types (specifically Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin supporters) were potential terrorist threats? According to this new Homeland Security report, all it takes to fit the terrorist profile is to have general anti-government feelings or prefer local/state government to federal control over everything.
The federal Homeland Security Department document entitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Environment Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” contains the following definition:
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely.  It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
Also targeted in the report are veterans, folks anticipating additional restrictions to their Second Amendment rights, and those concerned about the loss of U.S. sovereignty.
This report that one harboring these sorts of views is a racist as well as a potential terrorism suspect.

Now, let's see what the Constitution of the United States says about arming the citizens:

Texas:  Every citizen shall have the right to keep and bear arms in the lawful defense of himself or the State; but the Legislature shall have power, by law, to regulate the wearing of arms, with a view to prevent crime.  Art. I, § 23 (enacted 1876).
1836:  "Every citizen shall have the right to bear arms in defence of himself and the republic.  The military shall at all times and in all cases be subordinate to the civil power."  Declaration of Rights, cl. 14.
1845:  "Every citizen shall have the right to keep and bear arms in lawful defence of himself or the State."  Art. I, § 13.
1868:  "Every person shall have the right to keep and bear arms in the lawful defence of himself or the State, under such regulations as the legislature may prescribe."  Art. I, § 13.
[Self-defense right explicitly protected.]

Note that this law is enacted in 1876.

In light of the fact that President Obama believes the lawful citizens of the United States of America should bow to him and if they don't they are a threat to him, one has to deduct that he would exploit innocent children to gain his objective of disarming us.

What was the quote from Thomas Jefferson?...“A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!”

Contact your Federal Senator and Representative NOW to oppose President Obama's play for dictatorship.  If you don't know who your Congressman is, contact me.  I will identify him for you, even if he is a girl.

Let's try this one more time.   Let's try to have a discussion on the level of a third grader, so we can all understand.  I was watching the local television news recently and saw a spot were a foreigner had been robbed and no longer felt safe in her home.  She spoke no English but had lived in the house for twenty five years.  If she had entered my country legally, she would have been required to know English.  So, she invaded my country; is stealing from me, my parents, and my children; and SHE wants to complain?!?

These illegals are costing real Americans a lot of money just because they flip their noses at learning the language.  If you work with the public, you understand how difficult it is for real working Americans, who pay their taxes, to conduct business.  Then, there are public servants i.e., police, EMT's, and those working in health care such as doctors and nurses.  How do you think anyone communicates with these illegals?  It costs money, so they can provide translators.
If you moved to a foreign country, would you learn how to communicate with the locals?  Of course you would, or you would have stayed in your own country to begin with.  They don't.  I am sick of politicians cuddling the foreign criminals.  They lock up real Americans for a little marijuana and reward these foreign criminals by giving them welfare and medicaid (free health care).  They cannot pay taxes since they cannot obtain a social security number without a birth certificate.  They are stealing our future (social security and medicare).  Then they want to rob taxpayers further by raising taxes even more!

Article IV, Section 4, Paragraph 1: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestics Violence.

Well, NO MORE!  Do you know what our federal politicians say when they are "sworn in"?  Here is what the oath has been since 1884:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the CONSTITUTION of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

What does the U.S. Constitution say about foreign invasion?

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion..."

Article I, Section 8, Paragraph 15:
"Congress shall have the Power to provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions

Article I, Section 9, Paragraph 2:
"The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it."

Article I, Section 10, Paragraph 3:
"No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."
Article IV, Section 4, Paragraph 1:
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestics Violence."

The time is now for our politicians to stand up for America and stop the madness!  I have been contacting politicians since before my babies started school.  My oldest is in his mid-thirties.  The politicians have done nothing.

Arizona gives me hope.  Recently, I have e-mailed my state senator to ask him to introduce a state bill to take away the "right" of foreigners to vote unless they came to this country legally.  If they invaded our country and this President unilaterally gives them amnesty, I want my state to prohibit them from voting......for life!  Everything worth having is worth fighting for.  It takes time to find out how to contact whom, but I am still fighting for my country....without shooting a gun.

President Obama did not sign the "fiscal cliff" deal into law.  He flew Air Force One into Washington D.C. from Hawaii for a photo op. during the drama of talks about the deal.  He appeared on several television shows.  He was even sequestered with Speaker Boehner for a while during his time in town.  Then he left D.C. before signing the bill and flew back to Hawaii for a total spending just on his trip of no less than $3.6 million.
Wait a minute.  What was the purpose of the "fiscal cliff" deal?  Oh, yes, it was to raise taxes.  Why raise taxes if the Obama Administration is so reckless with our money? This President did not negotiate the deal, Vice President Biden did.  Why did Obama leave Hawaii, fly to D.C. then fly back to Hawaii?  Photo ops, pure and simple.  He is still campaigning, you know.  It only cost you and me three million six hundred thousand American dollars.
Do you really have that much money to throw away?  No, of course not.  Nevertheless, that money was taken from you and your children so President Obama could be seen.  A machine really signed the bill.  I think the President should pay for that trip out of his own pocket and give me the millions of mine he spent on the second trip to Hawaii.  What could you do with the $3.6 million dollars?  He flushed it down the toilet---over the continuous 48 states!

Well, the Democrats finally capitulated on admitting the Bush tax cuts are good for the country.  The Republicans folded on "no new taxes".  If you don't stand for something, you fall for anything. This is a quote from Alex Hamilton, and is so true.  Republican politicians have no spine.
Let us see what they gave to Dictator Obama according to the Washington Post:
1.  A $9 billion "sop for Wall Street banks and major multinationals"
2.  A rum tax for Puerto Rico  ($547 million/year)
3.  Cheaper office space for Goldman Sachs
4.  Helping NASCAR build racetracks (worth about 21.5 million/year)
5.  Tax credit for wind energy (worth about 1.2 billion/year);  Treat coal
from Indian lands as alternative energy source (worth about 1 million)
6.  $2 billion for consumers and $2 billion in grants tothe battery industry
PLUS $25 billion in loans to manufacturers of advanced vehicles.
7.  $165 million tax credit to the railroads
8.  $15 - $20 million tax write off for the film and television industries
9.  about $220 million for employees to take mass transit to work

Here is a list of your Senators and Representatives who voted for this mess:

Senator Sessions voted for it;  Senator Shelby said, "no"
All the Republican Representatives voted no:  Aderholt, Bachus, Bonner,
          Brooks, Roby, and Rogers.
Representative Sewell voted for it but that is what Democrats want.

Senators Kyl and McCain voted as Democrats.
All your Republican Representatives voted no:  Flake, Franks, Gosar,

    Republican Representative Rehberg voted Against

Kudos to Cooper, Black, Blackburn, DesJarlais, Duncan, Fincher,
         Fleischmann, and Roe.
Both our Senators voted for it:  Hutchison is no longer a Senator;  we will
be voting Cornyn out after this term.
Our Democrat Representatives all voted for it:  Cuellar, Doggett,
Gonzalez, Green (Al and Gene), Hinojosa, Jackson Lee, Johnson, and
We also had some Republican Representatives who will be looking over
their shoulders when the primaries come around:  Brady, Sessions,

While the conservative media has been pointing out the excessively growing American debt for years, I have to ask how Drama Obama and his socialist government-owned media has suddenly discovered we have a problem.  This has been President Obama's "governing style" since he was first elected.  He states his demands and then villainizes duly elected representatives of America for identifying a better way.  He does not negotiate with people who Americans sent to Washington to speak on our behalf.  So, in essence, President Obama has snuffed out the voices of  "we the people".

John Boehner

I cannot say enough how very angry I am at our elected officials for caving on everything President Obama demands.  I did not vote for Obama and I do not agree with ANYTHING he represents.  I believe in preserving the Constitution of the United States.  I am tired of Obama working to destroy it.  I want the elected Republicans to stand firm and vote against the Dictator we have in Washington.  That is why I voted Republican.  I did not vote for Romney, but I did vote against Obama.

Here is some more of his power grab that I found by William Bigelow on  "In an attempt to seize total control over national security and bypass congress, a frightening new step by the Obama Administration is coming into play. As noted in Friday’s Wall Street Journal in an op-ed by John Bolton and John Woo, a State Department advisory group that is run by former Secretary of Defense William Perry is advising that the U.S. and Russia both reduce nuclear weapons without a treaty, as a treaty would require ratification by Congress. This would allow Obama and his executive branch to unilaterally cut our nuclear weaponry and ignore the treaty clause of the Constitution."  You can read the entire post at www,
Let us not forget that on March 26th of last year, President Obama asked that Putin give him "space" until he was re-elected.  Is this what he was referring to needing the "space" for?  Besides, how did he KNOW he WOULD BE re-elected?  So many little answers.
