OBAMA'S GUN LAW

   Tomorrow, the President of the United States will announce his proposal to disarm the good LEGAL citizens of the United States.  He does not have the power to do that. 

   Let's go back in time, just for a moment, to April 12, 2009.  Do you remember the big stink over the Department of Homeland Security targeting our veterans as "potential terrorists"?  Here is a part of what was posted in The Liberty Papers, published 4/12/2009.  Obama has officially been in office for about four months:

Homeland Security document targets most conservatives and libertarians in the country

Remember that now-retracted Missouri Information Analysis Center report which stated that small-government types (specifically Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin supporters) were potential terrorist threats? According to this new Homeland Security report, all it takes to fit the terrorist profile is to have general anti-government feelings or prefer local/state government to federal control over everything.
The federal Homeland Security Department document entitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Environment Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” contains the following definition:

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely.  It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

Also targeted in the report are veterans, folks anticipating additional restrictions to their Second Amendment rights, and those concerned about the loss of U.S. sovereignty.
This report that one harboring these sorts of views is a racist as well as a potential terrorism suspect.

   Now, let's see what the Constitution of the United States says about arming the citizens:

Texas:  Every citizen shall have the right to keep and bear arms in the lawful defense of himself or the State; but the Legislature shall have power, by law, to regulate the wearing of arms, with a view to prevent crime.  Art. I, § 23 (enacted 1876).
      1836:  "Every citizen shall have the right to bear arms in defence of himself and the republic.  The military shall at all times and in all cases be subordinate to the civil power."  Declaration of Rights, cl. 14.
      1845:  "Every citizen shall have the right to keep and bear arms in lawful defence of himself or the State."  Art. I, § 13.
      1868:  "Every person shall have the right to keep and bear arms in the lawful defence of himself or the State, under such regulations as the legislature may prescribe."  Art. I, § 13.

[Self-defense right explicitly protected.]

Note that this law is enacted in 1876.

   In light of the fact that President Obama believes the lawful citizens of the United States of America should bow to him and if they don't they are a threat to him, one has to deduct that he would exploit innocent children to gain his objective of disarming us.

   What was the quote from Thomas Jefferson?...“A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!”
