FOREIGN AID GIVEN BY AMERICA

   FOREIGN AID GIVEN BY AMERICA

Maybe it is time for America to reconsider all the money we give other countries.  Foreign aid given by America should be to promote democracy, not Muslim Sharia law.  It should be to promote and protect American interests abroad.
Take the aid given to Libya over the past year by the Obama Administration.  According to ABC news on August 22, 2011, the military intervention cost the American taxpayer via the Obama Administration $896 million dollars through July of 2011.  The President had also pledged another $25 million in non-lethal aid.  That was six months ago.  How much more have we sent them since then?  In return for our efforts, Lybian Islamists rallied on Jan. 20, 2012 to demand Muslim Sharia law inspire their legislation of their "democracy".
So, we are in debt $921 MILLION dollars for a government that hates America and Israel.  What a great deal!  Well, not really.  This is not even a good deal.  Give me the $921 million dollars and I will set up a government that will love America!  I would even accept one million to set up my America loving government.
Then, consider that the American government sends Pakistan 2 billion dollars annually in civil and military aid.  Pakistan kicked America out of their country after our President crossed into their country to kill Osama Bin Laden and other terrorists.  One of the attacks also allegedly killed civilians in November of last year.   As a result, Pakistan closed border crossings to NATO convoys carrying war supplies to Afghanistan.  That has increased our cost to transport these supplies to $104 million dollars a month that used to cost $87 million a month less.  We are paying six times more to transport this cargo because Pakistan is unhappy with us.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?
Not only did Pakistan close those two border crossings, but they also ordered the U.S. to vacate Shamsi Air Base, which the U.S. was using to launch drone strikes against al-Qaida and Taliban militants.  The strikes, largely by the CIA, target militants hiding along the Pakistan border, launching attacks against NATO troops in Afghanistan, according to AP News.
We need to reconsider our priorities and our commitments to these foreign countries.  That's my thoughts, what's yours?

NEWT: LYING, CHEATING, WOMANIZER

LYING, CHEATING, WOMANIZER
For those of us who have been through a divorce and come out on the other side, things are never the same.  Take Newt Gingrich, for instance.  He has been married three times.  One of his former wives is very vocal about her divorce.  How can a man who lays next to the one he has promised to love, cherish, and protect her, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health til death do they part lie to her and make plans to destroy her life?
Then the "powers that be" in politics cram this joker down our throats and tell us he is the best man for the job?!?  Well, I don't see what any one of his wives see in him.  He is old, fat, and disgusting and he has a short temper.  This is my opinion and since I am an American citizen, I have a right to my opinion and a right to voice it.
That said, I want to see the facts on the man who is currently in the White House.   I understand that Hawaii gives birth certificates to people not born in this country.  I have not seen the President's school transcripts.  Then there is the issue of all the rumors about our President's homosexual life.  His membership at "Man's Country" in Chicago and his "pick-up" basketball games.  Do we get anyone in the national media looking up people associated with any of these rumors and put them on the "nightly news" like they do with the Republican candidates?
So, even though I am against a lying, cheating womanizer, I admit what we currently have in the White House is still many times worse.  What do you think?

UNIONS IN INDIANA/RIGHT TO WORK

UNIONS IN INDIANA/RIGHT TO WORK
I have been asked to research the right to work that is being implemented in Indiana, and what that means for the unions.  The problem is that I am not Yoda.  I don't know everything.  I research and try to discern what is truth.  I am afraid that I may get this one incorrect, so let me know what you think.
I begin in the great state of Texas.  We have unions here.  We have people who love unions here.  Others, not so much.  The union tried to organize the nurses here, but that didn't work.  We do have the AFL-CIO and others, though.
The unions have played an important role in American history.  I believe they contribute to the community as far as fighting for worker's wages and benefits.
The problem is the current economical situation we and the world have found ourselves in.  Workers in the public sector get paid off workers in the private sector.  That is just a fact.  So, with governments being so mis-managed as they have been, the benefits the public sector have enjoyed needs to be revisited.
People are out of work in the private sector.  In the past 3 years (from December, 2007 to April, 2010), there were 8.4 MILLION jobs lost, never again to be seen (according to MSNBC).  The people who were working those jobs were no longer contributing to the tax base.  When the government cannot collect the taxes to pay for those workers in the public sector, something has to change.  Some of the workers in the private sector took pay cuts, benefit cuts, or both.  The public sector should also be willing to modify their expectations if this country is going to function.
We don't want to be like Greece and other European countries.  Our federal government is already trying to bankrupt us.  They will not bail out the states and local governments.  They have their own agenda, giving money to their cronies, Muslim countries, etc.
So, it comes down to what are you willing to sacrifice.  Do you want to bankrupt your local and state government or are you willing to sacrifice a little for the good of the masses?  Paying some of your health insurance, or contributing some to your 401K or taking a small hit on your income to continue working are considerations.  We in the private sector have been called upon to make these decisions.
It is like social security.  We were promised we would have this when we obtained retirement age.  Well, the bar has been moved so many times, that we have stopped believing anything the politicians say.  They have mis-managed the funds and given our money to many other causes and forsaken what it was intended for.
Let me know what you think.

USS CARL VINSON HEADING TO THE PERSIAN GULF

U.S.S. CARL VINSON HEADING TO THE PERSIAN GULF
This week, a new aircraft carrier strike group has arrived in the Persian Gulf, according to the U.S. military, as a story filed by Phil Stewart at Reuters reported.  This is the U.S.S. Carl Vinson.  Another strike group headed by the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln will be joining them shortly.
Iran has started up an underground uranium enrichment plant this week and has sentenced an American to death for allegedly spying.  So, tensions have been running high.  The U.S. denies any part in a scientist being killed in Iran recently, which adds to the tension.
America has been garnering support for economic sanctions against Iran from Japan and others.  Iran has threatened to close the Straight of Hormuz to interfere with other countries exporting oil.  The Straight is the world's most important shipping lane.
The Obama Administration denies there is a link between the recent tension with Iran and the moving of the aircraft carriers to the region.

Pray for our military and their families.

THE PARTY OF "NO"

THE PARTY OF "NO"
It is a funny thing:  The Republicans are known as "the party of 'no'".  Why is that?  I was about to post on http://omaswisdom.blogspot.com/ about coveting and it hit me.  The Republicans must be compared with God.  How wild is that?  Was God the God of  "No"?  Some would say, "yes".  He is a spoilsport.  Always spoiling someone's fun, right?
Actually, God said, "no" to things that would hurt us.  He always has our best interest at heart, not necessarily our prosperity in this world, but our best interest.  It is like a parent telling their toddler, "no".  I am a parent.  I have never advised my children to do things that I felt would hurt them.  I always had their best interest at heart.
So, getting back to the Republican political party, why do you think they would be against what the Democrats want?  Logically, you would think it is in the best interest of the country, right?  And it is important.  The problem is that they have a problem in communicating the reason to back their position.  The Democrats, on the other hand, put a bunch of words together that sounds good and expect Americans to trust them.  Like "hope and change".
Hope and change.  Republicans like hope and change.  The difference is that they require a plan that makes sense and is good for America.  Republicans are known for their evangelical base.  Why are Democrats not known for their evangelical base?  Instead they are known for killing unborn babies and promoting a deviant lifestyle, otherwise known as homosexual lifestyle.
Now, if you want to talk about a party of "no", let's talk about the Democrats!  The Constitution of the United States of America guarantees our right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  The Democrats say, "no", let's kill babies and deny them their constitutional rights.  Liberty, "no" the Democrats want to tell us what kind of light bulbs to use, we can't be allowed the liberty of choosing our own light bulbs!  Pursuit of happiness, "no", we have to be dependent upon the government to support us rather than allowing us to work and be successful.  They are stealing our "American dream"!
   What are your thoughts?

BACKING SANTORUM FOR PRESIDENT

BACKING SANTORUM FOR PRESIDENT
So, you know I had endorsed the only true American minority for President.  She dropped out of the race today.  I should have said that Rick Santorum was my second choice when I endorsed Michele Bauchman, but since I didn't, let me say it now.  I am now backing Rick Santorum for President since Michele Bauchman is no longer running.
The first thing I noticed after Mr. Santorum's surge in Iowa was a post from ABC's Matthew Mosk and Brian Ross trying to smear the candidate related to some earmarks and contributions received during his days as Senator of Pennsylvania.  These guys are part of the mainstream media.
Let's focus on Barack Hussein Obama:  Solyndra, Beacon Power Corp., Nevada Geothermal Power, Enerl, Fiskers, and Severstal North America's Russian-based Company.  We are talking trillions of dollars.  Where are the "watch groups" where the sitting President is concerned?
If I had to choose between Mr. Santorum, (who was not contacted to respond to this "news" piece by Mr. Mosk and Mr. Ross), and President Obama, I would not hesitate to choose Mr. Santorum.  These people so obviously believe ALL AMERICANS are STUPID.  Well, I am not as stupid as you people!
I do not want the United States of America to be the socialist country you people promote.  Thank you, anyway.  I want my government to honor the Constitution.
   Think about that!

OUT OF CONTROL NATIONAL DEBT

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE NATIONAL DEBT
In your personal household, who balances the budget?  A budget is really difficult to get your hands around.  You take your income, and try to stretch it to cover your bills, groceries, gasoline, etc.  If your income does not cover your expenditures, you get a second job, have your spouse go to work, cut your debt, etc.  The fact is that if you are not bringing in as much as you are paying out, you will end up on the streets.
Let's talk about the national debt:  public debt has INCREASED every year from 2003 through 2007 by 500 billion dollars a year.  In 2008, after our current President was elected, the public debt doubled to an increase of  1 trillion dollars; in 2009, it almost doubled again, JUST IN ONE YEAR, to 1.9 trillion.  In 2011, it increased ANOTHER 1.7 TRILLION!  The Democrats in the White House have brought our country to ruin by their out of control spending.  They are spending more money than we are giving them.  This madness has to stop!  You can also read my post from July 28th referencing baseline budgeting.
The Republicans have tried to slow down their out of control spending, only to have the National Media paint them as "not willing to negotiate".  There is no negotiation!  We HAVE TO STOP GIVING MONEY AWAY!  Do we need to go into detail, once again, about how our President has thrown our money away:
1.   half a billion dollars to Solyndra, that went bankrupt
2.   2 billion to Brazil to drill for oil and sell it to China, who is under
contract to buy it, we are not.
3.   1 billion in debt forgiveness to Egypt.
4.   24 million to Amyris Biotechnologies.  that was a grant.  does not
      require re-payment.
5.   the list goes on and on.
We need to elect conservative Republicans to the Senate and House who will support a conservative President.  WE MUST GET OUR HOUSE IN ORDER!   What are your thoughts?
