USS CARL VINSON HEADING TO THE PERSIAN GULF

U.S.S. CARL VINSON HEADING TO THE PERSIAN GULF
This week, a new aircraft carrier strike group has arrived in the Persian Gulf, according to the U.S. military, as a story filed by Phil Stewart at Reuters reported.  This is the U.S.S. Carl Vinson.  Another strike group headed by the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln will be joining them shortly.
Iran has started up an underground uranium enrichment plant this week and has sentenced an American to death for allegedly spying.  So, tensions have been running high.  The U.S. denies any part in a scientist being killed in Iran recently, which adds to the tension.
America has been garnering support for economic sanctions against Iran from Japan and others.  Iran has threatened to close the Straight of Hormuz to interfere with other countries exporting oil.  The Straight is the world's most important shipping lane.
The Obama Administration denies there is a link between the recent tension with Iran and the moving of the aircraft carriers to the region.

Pray for our military and their families.
