THE PARTY OF "NO"

THE PARTY OF "NO"
It is a funny thing:  The Republicans are known as "the party of 'no'".  Why is that?  I was about to post on http://omaswisdom.blogspot.com/ about coveting and it hit me.  The Republicans must be compared with God.  How wild is that?  Was God the God of  "No"?  Some would say, "yes".  He is a spoilsport.  Always spoiling someone's fun, right?
Actually, God said, "no" to things that would hurt us.  He always has our best interest at heart, not necessarily our prosperity in this world, but our best interest.  It is like a parent telling their toddler, "no".  I am a parent.  I have never advised my children to do things that I felt would hurt them.  I always had their best interest at heart.
So, getting back to the Republican political party, why do you think they would be against what the Democrats want?  Logically, you would think it is in the best interest of the country, right?  And it is important.  The problem is that they have a problem in communicating the reason to back their position.  The Democrats, on the other hand, put a bunch of words together that sounds good and expect Americans to trust them.  Like "hope and change".
Hope and change.  Republicans like hope and change.  The difference is that they require a plan that makes sense and is good for America.  Republicans are known for their evangelical base.  Why are Democrats not known for their evangelical base?  Instead they are known for killing unborn babies and promoting a deviant lifestyle, otherwise known as homosexual lifestyle.
Now, if you want to talk about a party of "no", let's talk about the Democrats!  The Constitution of the United States of America guarantees our right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  The Democrats say, "no", let's kill babies and deny them their constitutional rights.  Liberty, "no" the Democrats want to tell us what kind of light bulbs to use, we can't be allowed the liberty of choosing our own light bulbs!  Pursuit of happiness, "no", we have to be dependent upon the government to support us rather than allowing us to work and be successful.  They are stealing our "American dream"!
   What are your thoughts?
