FACE THE NATION  SEPT. 8, 2013

 

   I confess that I video taped today's show of  Face the Nation.  Bob Scheiffer had Mike Rogers (R. Michigan) on his show today.  Representative Rogers was appointed as Chairman of  the House Intelligence Committee in 2011 and "is a national leader on national security policy", according to his website.  So, he serves in the United States House of Representatives, representing Michigan's Eighth Congressional District.


 

   Prior to being elected to The House of Representatives, Rep. Rogers was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army through the ROTC at the University of Michigan.  He then served as an FBI special agent.  He was first elected to Congress in 2001.  Thank you, Sir, for your service to our Country.

   Today, the show was about the ramifications on inaction on the part of the U.S. regarding President Obama's "red line" to Bashir Assad.  Rep. Rogers verbalized his concern that inaction after the President drew the "red line" would send Iran, North Korea, and others a negative message concerning our leadership on the world stage.  Mr. Scheiffer concurred with that assessment. 

   I guess these guys have not heard what America is saying about President Obama's "red line".  As far as that goes, maybe they have not listened to ANYTHING America is saying about President Obama and his Administration. 

   His Administration.....do you know that he is marching Susan Rice out to brief Congress on what the President wants to do and why?  Can you imagine?  Susan Rice?   Maybe this is why Americans are saying, "no" to President Obama.  He had Susan Rice try to convince America that an obscure video was the cause of death for  Ambassador Stephens, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith, and Glen Doherty in Benghazi last year.  She even went on Face the Nation to do it!  Again, I say the Obama Administration has a credibility problem.

   Where is his support from leaders of other nations?  This guy said he was going to "make the world love us" after  "President Bush alienated them".  Who will stand with President Obama?  All I hear are crickets.
   I have been concerned that most of the elected officials in Washington have either been on drugs or "playing poker on their phones" that has resulted in their being too distracted to focus on their jobs.  Going back to the Washington Post piece on October 19, 2012, I also have to consider that the information they receive may be faulty:

The Romney campaign may have misfired with its suggestion that statements by President Obama and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice about the Benghazi attack last month weren’t supported by intelligence, according to documents provided by a senior U.S. intelligence official.
“Talking points” prepared by the CIA on Sept. 15, the same day that Rice taped three television appearances, support her description of the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate as a reaction to Arab anger about an anti-Muslim video prepared in the United States. According to the CIA account, “The currently available information suggests that the demonstrations in Benghazi were spontaneously inspired by the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and evolved into a direct assault against the U.S. Consulate and subsequently its annex. There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.”
The CIA document went on: “This assessment may change as additional information is collected and analyzed and as currently available information continues to be evaluated.” This may sound like self-protective boilerplate, but it reflects the analysts’ genuine problem interpreting fragments of intercepted conversation, video surveillance and source reports.

   I am sorry, Rep. Rogers.  I cannot see any support for this President to go to war with Syria.  America's biggest concern, at this point, is not what terrorists all over the world think of this country's resolve not to bomb Syria; America's biggest concern is WHO IN THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS THEIR FINGER ON OUR NUCLEAR BOMBS?  It is sad when we are more concerned about what our own government is doing than what world terrorists are.

   Here is one problem with President Obama wanting to strike Syria:  no one believes the media when they say Syria is using chemical weapons.  When George W. Bush was President, the media nit-picked all the time on him. These days, no one believes the media when they report ANYTHING..  The George Zimmerman trial is just one example.  The media is like an ex-husband.  The only time he lies is when he opens his mouth.

   Then there is former White House Aide, Reggie Love, who said President Obama was not in the situation room during the attack on Osama bin Laden.


 


Reggie claims the President was playing "spades" in another part of the White House.   But we saw the so called still photos of him while the attack was in progress, remember?  Again, who believes the media?  It appears YouTube has pulled the actual video of Reggie admitting what the President was doing during the raid.  I found it and watched it, but was unable to copy it here.  All of the media is covering for this guy!

 

   Did you see the coverage of the fiftieth anniversary of  Dr.

Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I have a dream" speech?  The only people being "honored" were Democrats.  By the way, historically, Democrats were against the civil rights movement.  It was the Republicans who fought for it.

   Getting back to President Obama's desire to attack Syria, if there were no WMD's in Iraq, the Syrian government is not attacking their own citizens with chemical weapons and we should leave them to their own civil war.  We should just monitor it to be sure it does not disrupt the rest of the area.

   I just wonder who is actually in charge in Washington.  Our President was MIA during the attack on Benghazi.  I want to know WHERE the 400 surface to air missiles are that we had in Benghazi.  I want to know WHY we had them there.  I want to know WHY our troops were told to "stand down" instead of going to Ambassador Stephen's aid.  I want to know WHY we were not protecting the Consulate there with our troops in the first place. 

   And now, President Obama wants to attack Syria because he let his alligator mouth overload his hummingbird ass?!?  No way.  This guy needs to take another hit of his drugs and leave running the country to someone who is not cognitively impaired!  By the way, John Kerry may as well return to his yacht, too, as he did when Egypt was burning.

   I posted in June of last year that this President is funding a war against Israel.  It looks to me like he wants a full-blown world war III.

   Amanda, this post is for you, because I know you have health issues and sometimes it is all you can do just to get through the next hour.  I get that.  So, when you state that you are undecided about which way to vote in November, I had to step up and give you as much information as I can.  So, here goes:

   I have said since Romney obtained the Republican nomination that I am not voting for him.  I did not like anything he did to win...the lies and meanness of spirit.  That said, I have said I am voting against Obama.  Let him who have eyes see, let him who have ears hear. 

   I have seen what Obama's media has been doing to give him another term:  how they have altered the news to shine a better light on the man and make it look like he is the greatest thing ever.  I refer you back to the Treyvon Martin case for one.  ABC, CBS, they omitted information and altered information to make it seem that Treyvon was the victim after Obama got involved and said, "If I had a son, he would possibly be like Treyvon."  The facts showed that the kid was a thug and the Hispanic was the victim.

   Even recently, when Terrorists hit Benghazi and killed our people, Obama and his media made it look like America instigated that.  Obama had one of our citizens arrested for instigating the violence.  The fact, however, is that Obama was too busy campaigning to heed the requests for added security to the Embassy there, and the Ambassador had told them that he had been targeted.  Two weeks later, Obama finally says it was a terror attack.  Hello.  9/11.  Do you think the security should have been beefed up a little?

   He is a Muslim, by his own admission.  He attends a "church" for 20 years that preaches, "not God bless America, but God damn America".  This is Obama's philosophy.  He wants to bring America to her knees and is succeeding in it.  He wants to bring America down to a third world status.  He is an anti-colonialist.

   These are just a few of the things I know.  Oh, and don't forget the blog site where he is portrayed as the "second coming":  http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com .  There is so much information available about him, I can't imagine why anyone would vote for him.
